DraftKings DFS Pitching & Team Stacking Tips Today

Top DFS Pitching and Team Stacking Strategies for DraftKings

In this article, I’m going to take a deeper dive into pitching and team stacking options. Let’s take a look at our optimizer’s rankings of the pitchers for the DraftKings six-game main slate, sorted by projected fantasy points.

*Potential rain delay/postponement in MIN @ NYY and ATL @ NYM. Proceed accordingly!

It’s a small slate tonight with only 12 teams in action, and Hunter Brown and Joe Ryan stand out as the elite arms. While you can make a good case for Ryan (check weather) as the slightly cheaper of the two, Brown is my preferred option as he gave up just one run across seven innings against the Red Sox two starts back.

We’ve also starred Kevin Gausman, Cam Schlittler (weather) and Walker Buehler in our optimizer. Schlitter is our top point-per-dollar starter due to his value salary ($7,000) and matchup against a Twins offense that has been held under three runs in three of their last four. Meanwhile, Shohei Ohtani is expected to be held to four innings with Justin Wrobleski following in relief. Note that Drew Rasmussen ranks well in the metrics below.

Here’s how each pitcher ranks in key categories (stats are from 2025 season only):

Pitcher Fantasy Points FIP K% Opponent K%
Joe Ryan 1 3 3 5
Hunter Brown 2 2 2 2
Kevin Gausman 3 6 5 11
Drew Rasmussen
